Importance Of Physical Activity

Every parent’s everlasting wish is to watch their ward grow up into a bright and successful individual, and for that most people emphasize on studying throughout the early stages of life. Studying is very important, but what they forget is the age old saying that all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. Physical activity is as important as studying or anything else for that matter, as it plays a major role in the all round development of a human being.
Basically physical activity includes all the things that a child may do, which includes him running after his dog, or him playing with children’s toys, or more energetic sports like football or tennis. These sports help children in keeping themselves fit and it also helps in reducing the chance of them turning into lazy couch potatoes.
Playing with gotz dolls or building blocks also helps in its own ways, by keeping their minds occupied and thus assisting in improved powers concentration. Parents should not stop their children from playing; instead they should encourage their children to take part in extracurricular activities that are held by the schools. Staying mentally fit and active is the first step of the stairs leading to a bright future, and it can be attained with little effort and motivation.
So parents, next time your child comes up to saying he or she wants to go out and play, don’t stop them. Instead ask them if you can join them in whatever they are playing!
